Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, en Nottingham, (puedes leer aquí nuestro exitoso post de la ciudad) está al lado del Castle Rock, de la estatua de Robin Hood y del Castillo de Nottingham. El nombre del pub está relacionado con la tercera cruzada, que el Rey Ricardo I (Corazón de León) apoyó en 1190. Se cree que los caballeros pasaban por el pub desde el Castillo, antes de emprender viaje a Tierra Santa. Una vez dentro del pub, tendréis la sensación de volver atrás en el tiempo. Podéis visitar las diferentes estancias, la chimenea y el juego del “Ringing the Bull”, un antiguo juego que es difícil de ver y que consiste en meter la anilla en el cuerno. Tuvimos suerte cuando estuvimos porque vimos a una pareja de jugadores que lo conseguían SIEMPRE. Si te gusta la historia, hay tours de las bodegas (hay que reservar con antelación) y también muchas leyendas sobre la entrada secreta a la red de galerías del Castillo, la silla del gaoler’s (el carcelero), la celda de los condenados, el tubo parlante... Pero si no te interesan estas leyendas, simplemente toma asiento y disfruta de tus pintas de cerveza! Cheers!

Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, en Nottingham (potete leggere qua il nostro bel post della città). Si trova accanto al Castle Rock, alla statua di Robin Hood e al Castello di Nottingham. Il nome del pub ha a che vedere con la terza crociata che il Re Riccardo I (Cuor di Leone) appoggiò nel 1190. Si pensa che i cavalieri andassero al pub dal Castello prima di intraprendere il viaggio verso la Terra Santa. Quando entrerete nel pub, avrete la sensazione di tornare indietro nel tempo. Potete visitare le varie stanze, il camino e il gioco del “Ringing the Bull” un antico passatempo che consiste nel mettere l'anello nel corno. Abbiamo avuto fortuna quando visitammo il pub, perché c'era una coppia di giocatori molto bravi che ci riuscivano SEMPRE.Se vi piace la storia ci sono dei tours delle cantine (bisogna prenotare con anticipo) e anche varie leggende sull'entrata segreta alle reti di gallerie del castello, la sedia del gaoler (il carceriere), la cella dei condannati, il tubo parlante... Ma se non vi interessano queste leggende, entrate nel pub e godetevi le ottime pinte di birra.

Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem in Nottingham (here our successful post) is located next to the Castle Rock and the Nothingham Castle. The name of the pub relates the Third Crusade which King Richard I (The Lionheart) supported in 1190. It is thought that this pub may have been used by knights from Nottingham Castle before departing to the Holy Land.On stepping inside, you will immediately sense that you are taking a step back in time. You can visit the rooms, see the fireplace and the "Ringing the Bull" game. We were lucky we saw an old couple of players putting the ring ALWAYS in. If you are keen of history, there are cellar tours (you should book in advance) and many legends about secret entrance to the the network of caves of the Nottingham castle, the gaoler’s (jailer) chair., the condemned cell, the speaking tube... If you are not interested in this legends, take a seat and enjoy your pints of beer! Cheers!
